    Stepping Up to the Plate

    The eight-week IT-Ready Apprentice Program wasn’t conceived simply as a way to help adults gain a Certificate of Completion, or even to get them their first IT certification. Though IT-Ready accomplishes those things, the program would be considered a failure if it didn’t place a high percentage of its participants into work roles.

    A Moving Moment

    Attendees of Breakaway 2012 in Las Vegas ran into the usual suspects in Sin City, as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Dean Martin (or the late Rat Pack’s best impersonators, at least) provided the final night’s entertainment. But also making his way to the stage at Breakaway was one total newcomer to the Vegas scene.

    Behind the Scenes of IT-Ready

    On May 5, 2012, I celebrated my youngest son’s third birthday. Like most little kids’ birthdays, Shane’s party was filled with laughter, messiness and running — lots of running. Two days later I celebrated another birth that will rank up there as one of the most significant milestones of my life: On May 7, Creating IT Futures' IT-Ready Apprentice Program was born.
