Give Back Through Volunteering
Have a passion for sharing what you know about tech careers? Want to give back in a meaningful way? We’d love for you to get in our programs.
Mentor NextUp Teens
Research from IDEO, CompTIA, Creating IT Futures and other sources repeatedly emphasizes that role models are one of the most significant and common sources of inspiration and guidance. We are looking for ongoing volunteers to help teens learn about tech careers and guide them through hands-on activities. The impact on the students’ lives can be considerable! Contact Joan Matz to get involved.
Get Involved with IT-Ready
IT-Ready is in Charlotte, NC; Portland, OR; and the Twin Cities, but we’re aiming to add more cities in 2019. Help us expand the program and make it even more impactful for the students already in training.
- Mentor students training for IT careers
- Connect us to employers to hire our students
- Introduce us to organizations to fund our expansion
- Distribute literature about IT-Ready in your city
