TechGirlz, a nonprofit program of Creating IT Futures, inspires middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology and empower their future careers by offering free, fun, hands-on workshops, called TechShopz, on topics ranging from game design to cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence to 3-D printing. Click here to see a full list of topics.

TechGirlz has packaged those plans, documents and guides, calling them TechShopz in a Box™. They’re available for download free of charge, and they allow anyone, anywhere to run a TechGirlz workshop, in-person or online.

How can you volunteer to help TechGirlz?

  • Many opportunities abound for leading, assisting, or providing support for workshops. Get started here.
  • Run your own TechShop for your TechGirl. Our TechShopz in a Box curriculum is available free for download.
  • TechGirlz also has lesson plans for in-person and virtual TechCampz available for download. Use one of our prebuilt TechCampz in a Box programs or, for a small fee, work with the TechGirlz staff to create your own custom TechCamp plan that includes a daily itinerary, advertising, and swag!
