About IT-Ready

Four smiling faces of IT-Ready apprentices.

The IT-Ready Apprentice Program was created by Creating IT Futures Foundation, which has been helping at-risk individuals and populations under-represented in the information technology (IT) industry prepare for, secure, and be successful in IT careers since 1998.

IT-Ready Apprentices come to employers with IT training and a CompTIA A+ certification, qualifying the apprentices for most entry-level help-desk, call center, and technical customer support roles.

IT-Ready Apprentices are not college interns. They’ve been trained to do the real work that earns your company profit.

An IT-Ready apprenticeship lasts six months. Participating employers pay a flat rate of $15 per hour. The Foundation handles recruitment and training of apprentice. Employers may offer an apprentice full-time work at the end of the term, but there is no requirement to do so.
