About IT-Ready
The IT-Ready Apprentice Program was created by the Creating IT Futures Foundation, which has been helping individuals in need and populations
under-represented in the information technology (IT) industry prepare for, secure, and be successful in IT careers since 1998.
IT-Ready Apprentices come to employers with IT training and a CompTIA A+ certification, qualifying the apprentices for most entry-level help-desk, call center, and technical support roles.
IT-Ready Apprentices are not college interns. They’ve been trained to do the real work that earns your company profit.
An IT-Ready apprenticeship is full-time and lasts six months. Participating employers pay the apprentice between $12 and $15 per hour. IT-Ready handles recruitment, assessment, and training of apprentices. Employers may offer an apprentice a permanent position at the end of the term, but there is no requirement to do so.
