A Graduate Testimonial "Thank you. Not just for allowing me the opportunity to participate in the Creating IT Futures program but for your hard work in helping put the program together and removing the hurdles that people would otherwise face if the program weren't there.
Yesterday I received a job offer; today I officially accepted it. I'm excited to start this next chapter in a field that I love. Working on a platform that I believe in, helping people who are seeking to better themselves. I look forward to the challenges, to both learn and grow my skill-set."
– Kevin Doyle, IT-Ready Graduate
The information technology (IT) industry desperately needs skilled IT workers. Right now, there are more vacancies in IT positions nationally than there are qualified people to fill them.
At the same time, there are people who lack the opportunity to learn and apply valued professional skills toward a new and upwardly mobile career in IT. These include populations under-represented in IT – women and ethnic minorities – as well as unemployed or under-employed people, and those who have encountered barriers converting military experiences into civilian careers.
The Creating IT Futures Foundation – that’s us – is working hard to help meet the needs of the IT industry as well as these individuals.
As the non-profit foundation of CompTIA, the global IT industry association, we support programs and initiatives that help people find family-sustaining careers in the IT industry and help position them for long-term professional success.
